Projects

Tamarisk Coalition's mission is to advance the restoration of riparian lands through education, collaboration, and technical assistance. Our strategies are to serve as a riparian restoration information clearinghouse, empower practitioners, and enhance restoration frameworks. To do this, we help riparian land managers gain access to technical information, find funding, and connect with experts that can help them achieve their riparian restoration goals. For example, we host an online funding webinar series to connect people to grant resources, track the expanse of the tamarisk leaf beetle, host an annual meeting to convene riparian land managers and researchers, and we have an online resource center with links to wide variety of technical and how-to documents for restoration purposes.

Lessons / Successes

Peer-to-peer support and information exchange are an essential aspect of being successful in riparian restoration activities. We encourage the use of this network to connect with us, and others who can assist with advancing the relationships and tools needed for successful riparian restoration projects, and watershed health in general.
